Here is my interpretation of one of those silly ads from the 1950s, featuring everyone’s favorite reconstituted canned meat product, Spam. It is a compilation of some typical characters one might see in a magazine from the 1950s or an old “Leave It to Beaver” episode. Of course the mother is smoking; people smoked on television shows and in commercials all the time, as if tobacco were a wholesome ingredient. Sorta like Spam. (No offense meant, Spam-eaters. I’ve tried it myself.)
